The South Tyrolean mountain pine grows in the extreme altitudes of the Alps. Its needles are harvested at elevations between 1,000 and 2,700 meters. The fresh, woody scent of mountain pine provides soothing relief for the airways. To produce 1 liter of oil, approximately 200-300 kg of needles are steam-distilled. In very small doses, it is perfect for sauna infusions.
