GYLCERINE (SUGAR ALCOHOL). Glycerin occurs in nature as a component of fats (triglycerides = glycerin with 3 fatty acids). It is a natural component of our Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) of the skin and is present as part of the storage fat in plants. Glycerin binds water and can thus promote the skin's moisture. A well moisturized skin ages more slowly and is better protected against environmental influences.

DECYLGLUCOSIDE (SURFACTANT). Detergent of plant origin with high foaming power. It is extremely mild to the skin and easily biodegradable.

SORBITOL. Sweet-tasting sugar alcohol with moisturizing properties is naturally found in mountain ash, among others. Nowadays, sorbitol is mostly extracted from corn. It also helps to thicken products and gives them lubricity.

CARRAGEEN MOSS (RED ALGA). Extract of red algae with film-forming, skin smoothing and moisturizing properties. Reduces measurably the transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and is therefore hydrating.

COCO-CAPRYLATE (EMOLLIENT). A fast-spreading, refatting emollient of natural origin that leaves the skin feeling silky smooth and soft.

MALLOW. The mallow grows in the temperate zone and due to its high content of mucilages it has a soothing effect on the skin. It is particularly appreciated for inflammatory skin conditions such as acne or neurodermatitis.

ROSE MYRTLE. In traditional Chinese medicine, false myrtle is used for stomach upset and wound healing. The contained phenols and terpenoids have antioxidant and bacterial effects.

TEA TREE (ESSENTIAL OIL). Like lavender is valued in France as a panacea, tea tree oil is the all-rounder for the Australians. Originally the plant was mainly used to prepare tea, hence the name tea tree. The essential oil is appreciated for skin with a tendency to acne. The antibacterial effect has been confirmed in studies and it is also skin-caring.

PEPPERMINT (ESSENTIAL OIL). The essential oil of peppermint comes from the steam distillation of freshly harvested, blooming branches. The main ingredient is menthol. Traditionally used as an inhalant for colds and coughs. Similar to field mint, epithelization can be promoted. In traditional folk medicine, the essential oil is recommended for headaches and cramped smooth muscles.

THYME (ESSENTIAL OIL). Up to 45 cm high shrub plant, which grows in Central Europe, Southern Europe, Asia Minor, USA and in China. Beside the popular use in the Mediterranean kitchen, thyme is also appreciated as an anti-infectious essential oil.

LAVANDIN (ESSENTIAL OIL). Lavandin is the cross between the healing real lavender and the spike lavendel. Its cleansing effect is so significant that this is the reason for the plant's name (lat. lavare = wash). Lavandin calms and soothes.

BEARD LICHEN. Symbiotic organism consisting of a fungus and green algae or cyanobacteria (blue-green algae); the algae supply the community with sugars produced by photosynthesis, while the fungus provides protection and moisture. Together they develop specialized ingredients, the usnic acids, which have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. The perfect example of synergistic systems, where the result is more than the sum of its parts.

SODIUM COCO-CLUCOSIDE TARTARATE (SURFACTANT). This mild surfactant of natural origin gently cleanses skin and hair. It is easily biodegradable.

SODIUM LEVULINATE. Levulinic acid from sugar cane and vegetable oils has an antimicrobial effect and blocks the growth of bacteria in the product.

SODIUM DEHYDROACETATE. Preservative of synthetic origin that helps to prolong the shelf life of products by inhibiting the growth of bacteria within the product.

PROPANEDIOL. Propanediol is extracted from corn sugar and has moisturizing, conditioning and preserving properties.

SODIUM ANISATE. The sodium salt of anise acid is a natural raw material with preservative properties for the product.

XANTHAN GUM. One of the most commonly used thickeners and emulsion stabilizers. Completely natural ingredient produced by fermentation.

LACTIC ACID. Lactic acid - natural component of the skin's Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF), is extremely moisturizing, and strengthens the skin's metabolism and natural acid mantle. In high concentrations, lactic acid has an exfoliating effect, dissolving cornifications and removing flaky skin.

SODIUM PHYTATE. Sodium phytate is a natural raw material occurring in wheat and rice bran. It is a so-called chelator and binds metals which can influence the stability of the product.

GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE . Plant-based, multifunctional ingredient with softening and moisturizing properties. It is extracted from various vegetable oils, acts as a co-emulsifier in the product and so stabilizes the emulsion. The ingredient also has preservative properties for the product.

ALOE VERA. Miracle plant Aloe Vera. Has a cooling, calming, moisturizing effect, supports the skin's self-healing powers and its high antioxidant content protects against free radicals.

RADISH FERMENT. This raw material comes from the fermentation of radishes with the bacterium Leuconostoc. It has preservative properties.

PAPAYA EXTRACT (FRUIT). Extract of the up to 8 meter high melon tree. Has a keratolytic toning effect and smoothes small wrinkles. The gentle enzymes from the papaya (papain) have excellent peeling properties: by splitting binding proteins (= proteolysis) and the resulting desquamation of the skin, the skin's appearance is clarified and pores appear refined.

HYALURONIC ACID. Hyaluronic acid is a compound of proteins and polysaccharides. Hyaluronic acid is a physiological component of the extracellular skeletal substance of the dermis connective tissue and forms the skin's moisture depot. Our hyaluronic acid is obtained biotechnologically by fermentation. Depending on the length of the chain, the hyaluronic acid penetrates the skin in different depths and accordingly fulfils the function of binding moisture in the different skin layers. Wrinkles can so be smoothed, the skin appears fresh and firm.

COCOYL PROLINE (SURFACTANT). A combination of coconut fatty acids and the amino acid proline. Has skin and hair caring properties. Mild surfactant with good foam formation.

PROPYLEN GLYCOL. This ingredient binds moisture, the skin appears more glowing and feels smooth.

PROPANEDIOL. Propanediol is extracted from corn sugar and has moisturizing, conditioning and preserving properties.
