We continuously measure our carbon footprint with a live tracker. Because we believe that true sustainability encompasses the entire value chain, we go beyond the standard by including not only the direct emissions from our own operations (Scope 1), but also the indirect emissions (Scope 2 and Scope 3) – an approach that is far from standard in the industry. These indirect emissions are caused by purchased energy, such as electricity, or by our suppliers.
In this way, we ensure that we not only responsibly manage and minimize the direct impact of our business activities, but also the environmental footprint we create indirectly.

Contains all emissions directly generated by us.

Lists indirect emissions caused by purchased energy, such as electricity.
SCOPE 3:
Includes indirect emissions, such as business travel or emissions from our suppliers.

This means that for every order in our webstore, we plant a tree and protect one square meter of rainforest.
Marovolavo Planting Site – Madagascar
Saving the mangrove forests
In recent decades, 90 percent of the mangrove forests on the northwest coast of Madagascar have been destroyed – an enormous loss for biodiversity and the environment. That is why we are actively involved in the restoration of this unique ecosystem by planting a mangrove seedling on the Marovolavo Planting Site in Madagascar for every order placed in our webstore.
Canadé Reserve – Ecuador
Working together for more biodiversity
The Canadé Reserve in Ecuador is a true natural paradise, full of life with 37 different species of birds and many other animals. It is therefore essential to preserve this habitat. In addition, one hectare of this rainforest can absorb about 45 tons of CO², which is equivalent to the annual CO² emissions of six people.
Because the Canadé Reserve is so important for wildlife and our planet, we are working with Green Future Project to protect it: for every order in our webshop, we save one square meter of rainforest. Together, we are helping to preserve this precious place for the future – with all its inhabitants and the clean air it provides.

Green Future Project is a climate technology organization, a certified B Corp like us, and a pioneer in monitoring and reducing carbon emissions. Their mission is to fight the climate crisis and stop global warming.
We want to make a real contribution to a sustainable future through concrete actions and transparent processes. That’s why we measure our carbon footprint to improve our energy efficiency wherever possible. We also support sustainable initiatives that help preserve biodiversity and restore damaged ecosystems.
In partnership with Green Future Project, our energy consumption is strictly monitored and regularly evaluated. A live tracker measures CO² emissions and identifies areas with high emissions. We then take steps to increase energy efficiency as much as possible.
Everything we do in our lives leaves a footprint: transportation, diet, or lifestyle all release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and make up our carbon footprint.
As a sustainable company, we continuously measure our carbon footprint with a live tracker. Because we believe that true sustainability encompasses the entire value chain, we go beyond the usual: in addition to the direct emissions that arise in our company (Scope 1), we also include indirect emissions (Scope 2 and Scope 3). We use a variety of strategies to offset our carbon footprint:

- Continuously improving the energy efficiency of our buildings.
- Using 100% green energy from South Tyrol.
- For those emissions that cannot be completely avoided, we compensate by financially supporting various climate protection projects.
In collaboration with Green Future Project, we support the conservation of biodiversity in the Canandé Reserve in Ecuador and the reforestation of mangrove forests in the Marovolavo Planting Site in Madagascar.
For every order in our webshop, we plant a mangrove seedling at the Marovolavo Planting Site in Madagascar. We also protect one square meter of rainforest in the Canadé Reserve in Ecuador.
