Our commitment

A partnership that makes a difference

At a time when awareness of our planet is growing, one question is at the heart of our efforts: How can we set the course for a future where sustainability is not just an empty promise, but the foundation of everything we do? We find part of the answer in our partnership with Green Future Project — through concrete action, transparent processes, and measurable measures.

Measurable success

We take our responsibility toward the environment very seriously: 87% of our retail products are COSMOS/ICEA certified and undergo regular review. In addition, we monitor our energy consumption with a live tracker, allowing us to identify areas with high emissions and take targeted measures to improve our energy efficiency. Together with Green Future Project, we communicate these results transparently.

renewable sources

At all our locations, we source electricity
from renewable sources, documented
by corresponding Guarantees of Origin.

OUR APPROACH TO EMISSIONS MEASUREMENT

The difference is in the details

We continuously measure our CO₂ footprint with a live tracker. Because we believe that responsible emissions measurement must include the entire value chain, we go beyond the standard approach: in addition to the direct emissions generated by our company (Scope 1), we also include indirect emissions (Scope 2 and Scope 3), an approach that is still far from standard in the industry.

These indirect emissions arise from purchased energy, such as electricity, or through our suppliers. In this way, we ensure that we fully capture not only the direct impact of our business activities, but also the ecological footprint we indirectly cause, allowing us to reduce it in a targeted way.

SCOPE 1:

Contains all emissions directly generated by us.

SCOPE 2:

Lists indirect emissions caused by purchased energy, such as electricity.

SCOPE 3:

Includes indirect emissions, such as business travel or emissions from our suppliers.

Acting together

Preserving habitats

Our goal? To protect nature! That’s why we’ve partnered with Green Future Project, an Italian B Corp that helps companies on their journey to sustainability. With every order, we jointly invest in the protection of the Envira Reserve in Brazil — a certified climate protection project that preserves endangered rainforests and their biodiversity.

Envira Reserve – Brazil

Protection of an ecosystem

The Brazilian state of Acre is severely affected by deforestation caused by rubber extraction, logging and cattle ranching. The loss of forests endangers the entire ecosystem, threatening biodiversity and creating an irreversible vicious circle.

The Envira project addresses this threat by protecting the conservation area from conversion into farmland, cattle ranching, and urban development. Preserving the forest means giving biodiversity the opportunity to thrive while protecting the long-term livelihoods of the local population in Acre.

Marovolavo Planting Site – Madagascar

Saving the mangrove forests

Over the past decades, 90 percent of the mangrove forests along Madagascar’s northwest coast have been destroyed, a tremendous loss for biodiversity and the regional ecosystem. Together with Green Future Project, we therefore support the restoration of this unique habitat.

Canadé Reserve – Ecuador

Working together for more biodiversity

The Canadé Reserve in Ecuador is a true natural paradise, full of life with 37 different species of birds and many other animals. Preserving this habitat is therefore essential. In addition, one hectare of this rainforest stores around 45 tons of CO₂, an ecological contribution equivalent to the annual CO₂ emissions of approximately six people.

FAQ

Key facts in a nutshell

Green Future Project is a climate-tech organization and, like us, a certified B Corp as well as a pioneer in the monitoring and reduction of CO₂ emissions. Its goal is to support companies in measuring, reducing, and transparently communicating their emissions through certified climate protection projects and cutting-edge technology.

Together with Green Future Project, we precisely measure our CO₂ footprint (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and take targeted measures to improve our energy efficiency. In addition, we invest in various climate protection projects that contribute to preserving biodiversity and restoring damaged ecosystems, such as the Envira Reserve in Brazil, the mangrove forests in Madagascar, and the Canadé Reserve in Ecuador.

In collaboration with Green Future Project, our energy consumption is continuously monitored and regularly evaluated. A live tracker measures CO₂ emissions and identifies areas with high emissions. Based on this data, we take targeted measures to gradually improve our energy efficiency.

Everything we do in life leaves a footprint: transportation, food, or lifestyle — all of these release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and make up our CO₂ footprint.

We continuously measure our CO₂ footprint with a live tracker. Because we believe that responsible emissions measurement must include the entire value chain, we go beyond the standard approach: in addition to the direct emissions generated by our company (Scope 1), we also include indirect emissions (Scope 2 and Scope 3). These arise from purchased energy, such as electricity, or through our suppliers.

To keep our emissions as low as possible, we rely on several strategies:

  • Detailed measurement of our emissions.
  • Continuous improvement of the energy efficiency of our company buildings.
  • Use of 100% green electricity, documented by Guarantees of Origin.
  • For emissions that currently cannot yet be fully avoided, we work with Green Future Project to finance certified climate protection projects.

In collaboration with Green Future Project, we have supported the conservation of biodiversity in the Canandé Reserve in Ecuador and the reforestation of mangrove forests in the Marovolavo Planting Site in Madagascar. Since 2025, we have also started to protect the Envira Reserve in Brazil.

Using state-of-the-art satellite technology, we offer you the opportunity to see the impact of our work live.
