WATER. Water positively supports the moisture content of the skin and is used to dissolve vegetable ingredients. The quality of the water is regularly checked for physical and microbiological values.

GYLCERINE (SUGAR ALCOHOL). Glycerin occurs in nature as a component of fats (triglycerides = glycerin with 3 fatty acids). It is a natural component of our Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) of the skin and is present as part of the storage fat in plants. Glycerin binds water and can thus promote the skin's moisture. A well moisturized skin ages more slowly and is better protected against environmental influences.

CETEARYL ALCOHOL (FATTY ALCOHOL). Mixture of cetyl and stearyl alcohol, these are fatty alcohols, which are produced by the reduction of the corresponding fatty acids. A very common ingredient of cosmetic formulas, which gives the skin a pleasantly soft feeling and supports the formation of emulsions in the product. It also has a moisturizing effect and is supposed to smooth the skin.

GLYCERYL STEARATE (CO-EMULSIFIER). Co-emulsifier of vegetable origin (various oils). A consistency enhancer and auxiliary emulsifier for lotions and creams.

COCO-CAPRYLATE (EMOLLIENT). A fast-spreading, refatting emollient of natural origin that leaves the skin feeling silky smooth and soft.

POTASSIUM PALMITOYL HYDROLYZED RICE PROTEIN (EMULSIFIER). Emulsifier with rice proteins. It helps the skin stay in good condition by supporting its ability to retain water, thereby staying hydrated. Additionally, it can strengthen the skin barrier by forming a protective film on the skin that shields it from harmful environmental factors, leaving the skin soft and supple.

SODIUM STEAROYL GLUTAMATE (EMULSIFIER). Natural emulsifier based on amino acids. Helps water and oil to mix and subsequently not separate. This ingredient also has skin and hair conditioning properties, keeping them in good condition.

HIBISCUS / ROSE MALLOW. The extract from hibiscus flowers contains mucilage, which has soothing and calming effects. Due to its healing and anti-inflammatory properties, it supports and protects the skin, even as it ages.

CARRAGEEN MOSS (RED ALGA). Extract of red algae with film-forming, skin smoothing and moisturizing properties. Reduces measurably the transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and is therefore hydrating.

FENUGREEK. This ancient medicinal plant is traditionally used in cooking and as a tea for its beneficial effects on digestion and blood sugar levels. On the skin, this versatile plant works against glycation, the process by which sugar molecules bind to skin structures, which is one of the main causes of skin aging. The protective layer of the epidermis is strengthened and skin structures remain intact.

FRANKINCENSE. Extract from the dried, ground gum of the incense tree; a small tree or shrub with pinnate leaves and white or pale pink blossoms. Has astringent and cleansing effects, soothes and relieves the skin. The boswellia acids contained, can have a strengthening and toning effect on the skin.

PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE. Synonym for lecithin. Lecithins are natural elements of cell membranes. Lecithins are characterized by a large functional spectrum, they act as functional ingredients, caring and refatting lipids and also as skin-analogous emulsifiers. Applied to the skin, they are restructured by the body's own enzymes and used as elements for ceramides and cell membranes. A very important function is the promotion of the penetration depth of functional ingredients.
