WATER. Water positively supports the moisture content of the skin and is used to dissolve vegetable ingredients. The quality of the water is regularly checked for physical and microbiological values.

MENTHOL. Menthol is a natural component of essential oils, especially from various mint varieties. It has a fresh, minty, and sweet scent. In addition to its cleansing properties, it is known for its cooling effect, which occurs by docking to the cold receptors in the skin without actually affecting the body temperature. Menthol is particularly popular for relieving itchiness, burns, and insect bites.

POTATO STARCH. Potato starch has gelifying effects on the product. This supports the texture of the formulation and the application of the functional ingredients.

GYLCERINE (SUGAR ALCOHOL). Glycerin occurs in nature as a component of fats (triglycerides = glycerin with 3 fatty acids). It is a natural component of our Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) of the skin and is present as part of the storage fat in plants. Glycerin binds water and can thus promote the skin's moisture. A well moisturized skin ages more slowly and is better protected against environmental influences.

ASIATIC PENNYWORT / GOTU KOLA. Evergreen brahmic herb from South East Asia. Gotu Kola has been used for centuries in folk medicine to improve small wounds, burns and scratches, and is also a well-known anti-inflammatory agent for eczema. It is also said to be effective against vein weakness, to promote the formation of new peripheral blood vessels and to stimulate the skin's own collagen production.

HAMAMELIS / WITCH HAZEL. Herbal functional ingredient of witch hazel, which conjures up a beautiful and healthy skin texture. The extract has a wound healing, soothing and antioxidant effect. Proanthocyanidins promote cell division of the keratinocytes and keep the skin hydrated. Contained tanning agents can reduce the blood flow in the capillaries and therefore reduce inflammatory skin reactions.

GINGER (ESSENTIAL OIL). The essential oil, which is extracted from the rhizome of the ginger plant, refreshes tired legs. In aromatherapy it is appreciated for its detoxifying properties.

HORSE CHESTNUT (bark). Horse Chestnut is a widely used ingredient thanks to a number of valuable properties. It contains the active ingredient escin, which helps maintain healthy circulation and strengthens capillaries. This makes horse chestnut useful for rosacea-prone skin, and it's also often used in toners for a fresh skin feel. It also has some anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties.

FIELD HORSETAIL. It is one of the oldest plants on earth and is known for its astringent, slightly draining and connective tissue strengthening effect. High content of silicic acid.

JUNIPER (BERRIES). Essential oil from the juniper berries. In folk medicine, juniper is valued for its antiseptic, warming and digestive properties. The circulation is stimulated and purification is promoted.

PEPPERMINT (ESSENTIAL OIL). Peppermint essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of freshly harvested, flowering branches. Its main constituent is menthol. ROSE GERANIUM (ESSENTIAL OIL). This rose-scented essential oil is appreciated for its skin-caring and epithelizing effect on irritated and acneic skin. The flowery note has a balancing and relaxing effect.

ASCORBYL PALMITATE (STABILISED VITAMIN C). Fat-soluble vitamin C serves as product protection to stabilize sensitive unsaturated fats, functional ingredients and essential oils. It can increase collagen production, reduce hyperpigmentation and is also said to have a smoothing effect and prevent skin aging. By stabilizing it, it can fulfill its function as a regenerating agent in deeper layers of the skin.

TOCOPHEROL. Vitamin E is the most important fat-soluble antioxidant and is found in many plant-based oils as a protection against oxidation. By intercepting the harmful free radicals, tocopherol prevents the oxidation of the lipids in the product as well as those of the skin's membrane lipids. Wound healing can be positively supported and the skin appears smooth and healthy.

PHENETHYL ALOHOL. Pleasant rose-like fragrance, which can be found in various essential oils like rose, neroli or geranium.

CAPRYLYL GLYCOL. This derivative of a fatty acid fulfils various functions. The raw material is a moisturizer with conditioning properties on skin and hair. The skin is thus nourished and smoothed. Through antimicrobial activity, the raw material has a preservative effect on the product.
